Natalie Walker first entered the public eye as the vocalist with Daughter Darling, whose album Sweet Shadows and single “Broken Bridge” made waves on the trip-hop scene in the early oughts. Her acclaimed solo debut, Urban Angel, arrived in 2007 and was followed by the albums With You, Spark and, of course, Strange Bird. Along the way, her music has appeared on both the big and small screens and has won her some famous fans. But what’s more important to Walker is that she has forged a closer connection with her audience. “It took me 10 years for me to figure out that’s my purpose,” she states. “I wanna create music that feels like magic,” adds Walker. “But I had an epiphany that that also translates into having a personal connection to my audience.
