Carissa Johnson is known for her straight-forward lyrics, driving melodies, and her band’s inimitable live energy. From the start Johnson has been supported sonically by hard-grooving drums, growling bass lines, and resonant guitar melodies. Her music has been featured in SPIN Magazine, the Boston Globe, the Boston Herald, Under the Radar Magazine, Alternative Press, and more. Johnson has toured the country extensively, playing over 330 shows over the course of ten national tours between 2017 and 2020. She has opened up for national acts such as TORRES, Sarah Jaffe, Toth, Dorothy, Damone, Freezepop, Fleece, & The Damnwells. Johnson is currently promoting her latest full-length album Blue Hour, out on A Diamond Heart Production (Nov. 2021).
