Biyografi

Amsterdam-born composer/producer Perquisite started creating beats at age 14. Having played the cello since his early youth, he has always been inspired by all kinds of music, from classical and 60's to Hip-Hop and jazz. In 2001 he released his first EP which featured saxophonist Benjamin Herman. Three years later he started working with rapper Pete Philly as the hip-hop duo Pete Philly & Perquisite. Their successful collaboration brought forth two critically acclaimed studio albums and an abundance of shows all over the world. After Pete & Perq parted ways, Perquisite released the album 'Across', that featured twelve Dutch vocalists. His next project was a collaboration with singer Kris Berry on their 2013-released album 'Lovestruck Puzzles'. Kris Berry & Perquisite embarked on an extensive live-tour, and their single 'Let Go' became 3FM Megahit. In 2015, a musical collaboration with Jeangu Macrooy took off, which resulted in Perquisite producing Jeangu's debut EP 'Brave Enough' (2016), debut album 'High On You' (2017), his second album 'Horizon' (2019) and executive producing his third album 'Summer Moon' (2022). Perquisite is also active as a film composer. For his first endeavour, the music for 'Carmen van het Noorden' (2009), he was awarded a Golden Calf (Dutch Oscar). More recent work includes the music for the feature films 'Niemand In De Stad' (2018), 'Huisvrouwen Bestaan Niet 2' (2019), 'Hidden In The Spotlight' (2020) and series 'Zina' (2021).
