North Wales' Yr Eira attack the template set by the likes of Big Leaves, Yr Ods and Sŵnami with serrated guitars and a seemingly endless supply of incandescent melodies. Yr Eira have David Bowie’s swagger wrapped in a kind of slacker garage band indie-rock, with heartfelt melody and a warm harmony layered with the dulcet Welsh tones of Lewys Wyn. Yr Eira exploded our ears with their very first song - the perfect pop song - 'Elin'. Thereafter, released two singles; 'Yr Euog' and 'Ymollwng', released EP 'Colli Cwsg' at the end of 2014 and then two further singles 'Suddo' and 'Walk on Water' at the end of 2015 before releasing their first album, Toddi in 2017. The band was chosen to be a part of the BBC Horizons project in 2015, with highlights including a gig at T in the Park, a recording session at the legendary Maida Vale studios and started to headline their own shows. Over the last year they have been working on their second album "Map Meddwl" which will be released n the 15.5.
