The small town Ohio born artist released his debut album “Telepathic Humans” in Summer of 2017. The project has been compared to the likes of Tame Impala and My Morning Jacket showcasing buoyant guitar melodies accompanied by soft intimate vocals that vividly projects the image of the lyrics to its listener. The single, also titled “Telepathic Humans” caught the attention of streaming reps across the globe and was placed on over 6,000 playlists now sitting at over 1.5 million plays on Spotify alone. Lucy is an artist constantly at play with the evolution of his own sound, “Every Album has a new voice” he says himself. After a quiet couple of years of writing Lucy resurfaced in Spring 2020 with his single “Extraordinary Lover” off of the Sophomore album “Season Premiere of the Mind” which was released later the same year. In true Lucy fashion the single has its own breath highlighting the same distinctive songwriting for which he is known but with a strong dramamine dose to the sound. The album to come, “Season Premiere of the mind”, embodies the dreamy and full bodied guitars that bled over from the first album, to more emphasis on the ethereal keys and synths. There is even some similarity in the topic of the tracks that are about being connected to other humans in a deeper sense than the material or even perceived reality.
