Lei Avila Santiago, also known as ‘Lavils’, is a hip-hop/R&B-singer & songwriter born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands on November 18th, 2001. Her passion for singing started when she was three years old because her Filipino father always took her to his band rehearsals. As a result, Lei grew up around the music world. Her fan base started to grow at the age of 14 when she started posting vocal covers on Instagram. At the age of 15, she released her first mash-up cover on Soundcloud which was very well received by her audience. This was a sign for her to start taking music seriously, and decided to write her own songs. In 2019, she started to release a number of studio recorded singles and collaborations on Spotify. Her career took off when she got featured in two singles "FOTO'S - Mael ft. CHO, Lavils" and FaceTime - Figo Gang ft. Lavils" . In June 2020, she dropped her first independent debut-EP called "Thankful" which contains five self written tracks with collaborations such as Brandz (an UK artist, well-known by his EP 25/8", and the Belgian Fuego.
