Hi! I’m mags. A coffee drinking, pasta cooking, mediocre Spanish speaking, living room dancing, New Yorker by heart but Copenhagen based girl in her mid twenties trying to figure it all out. I do that by putting words and melodies to my feelings. Welcome to my universe of sonic memories from my life. The sound of mags is somewhere between the very intimate and the very epic. Electronic scandi pop with an painfully honestly lyrical edge. mags’s debut EP ‘conversations i’ve had with myself’ was released in 2019 and in the fall of 2020 it was followed by her self titled debut-album “mags”; a collection of honest and self-reflective stories from her own life. The album really portrayed mags’ undeniable talent as well as who she is, both as a songwriter, co-producer and singer. The album “mags” was praised by Danish music magazines such as Gaffa and Soundvenue. Gaffa described it as a “modern, capturing release”, while Soundvenue commented: “Mags’ debut delivers classic, capturing pop-stories with observant lyrics and a polished production”. Recently she has released the EP happimess. A musical portrait of being in the mid-20’s where big dreams for life and love rules, but also where doubt is still a constant companion.
