As an established actor, screenwriter and author MIA (Mia Skäringer Lázár) is one of Swedens’s most prolific and hard working artists. With the release of her upcoming debut album ’Maria’ Mia steps in to the spotlight as a recording artist for the first time. The album, due for release in November 2021 features collaborations with some of Swedens most respected musicians and songwriters, such as Molly Sandén, Annika Norlin (Säkert!, Hello Saferide), Moto Boy, Ane Brun, Nina Persson etc. 9 songs based on the lyrics from Mia's latest book, ’Maria: A Female Comedian's Diary’ (released May 17th 2021). The songs, as well as the book, revolve around themes such as love, mental illness, self-hatred and addiction and are all performed by Mia herself. Mia Skäringer has always wandered unhindered between different artistic expressions. For many, she is closely connected with her character in Swedish TV hit show, ’Solsidan’, while others are obsessed with her comedy and humorous alter ego, Tabita. She released four autobiographical books and hosted one of Sweden's biggest podcasts together with Anna Mannheimer. But what has perhaps had the most impact during Mia's career is her live shows, ’Avig Maria’ and the record breaking ’No More Fucks To Give’, with over 300K ticket buyers; a critically acclaimed performance where Mia balanced between humorous sketches, deep seriousness and live music.
