Founded in Denver by college roommates Em Troughton (vocals), Tess Condron (drums/keys), and Rylee Dunn (guitar/bass), Blankslate got their start playing coffee shops and open mics around Denver before graduating to Denver's club scene. Their first album, "Summer on a Salt Flat" was released on October 28, 2022. Lead single "Bell Station" and the song's accompanying music video were released three weeks before the album. Prior to "Summer on a Salt Flat," Blankslate released the "{thursday}" EP in November 2020. "{thursday}" EP features the band's first composition; "Whale Bones/Westcliff," written in 2018.
