Forming in 2013, the California-based symphonic technical death metal trio Mordant Rapture started as a traditional tech death metal outfit that evolved over the years by combining each member’s major band influences with cinematic film scores and even drawing inspiration from some of the darker, grandiose video game soundtracks currently in the industry. Band Influences include Spawn of Possession, Emperor, Necrophagist, and Dissection, just to name a few.
