They may not look like lonely tunes, but they’re looney toons. And it’s lunatic days. Garrison and TJ form a band called Sam the Astronaut. — A name inspired from a Queen track called ’Spread Your Wings’. They had finished their second album ‘Midnight Carlight’ at the end of 2019 and were looking to release early 2020. However, The Marvellous Mother Nature had other plans. After sitting in the dugout for far too long (and being fond of the record they had in their hands), they decided “Heck with it! We’re swinging! Give me the bat!”. They decided to release their second album in the centerfold of the first year of the pandemic. It was mildly received largely but for those who gave it a shot it succeeded. The two have been working on the third album. It will come out sometime. The sound of mcl? MCL is a room full of dancing and singable melodies. Inspired by so many great bands from both now and the past. It’s a familiar sound with some new lighting. Meant to be listened to loud.
