    Passion Pit's Ayad Al Adhamy shows off his rock side with the band Team Spirit. The synth player, missing his guitar-playing days, tapped his college roommate Roman Tobias Pettigrew (the People's Church of Animal Town) as bassist and backing vocalist, recording collaborator Champagne Dave Weingarten as drummer, and Cosmo Di Giulio (DOM) as guitarist to shape his power pop-influenced sound. A self-titled, self-released EP arrived February 2012, coinciding with the band's first tour. Two years later in September 2014, a revised lineup of Team Spirit -- featuring Al Adhamy joined by guitarist Kieren Smith, bassist Dan De Lara, and drummer Alex Russek -- delivered their debut LP, Killing Time. ~ Chrysta Cherrie, Rovi
