Riffertone came into being quite spontaneously. The idea was initiated by Albert Kokoszewski (guitar) together with Jarosław Krużołek (vocal). Since the very beginning the band focussed on its own original music material giving some small concerts in the Silesia region. In the meantime, the musicians, working in relatively modest conditions, recorded a few compositions which were placed on Youtube. However, it was not their last upload. In 2011 they sent their works to the music bands review organised by T-mobile, called „Turn it up!” As the winners of the first stage of the contest, held in Zbigniew Hołdys’s club called "Chwila da club" they had an opportunity to brush up their music skills in the „Musical Sheepfold” at the side of such musicians as: Wojtek Olszak, Kuba Badach, Piotr Cugowski, Wojtek Pilichowski, Marek Raduli, or Tomasz Łosowski. After the musical workshops, the duet experienced the luck of coming back to this magical place called „Musical Sheepfold”, but this time as the special guest being able to present their all compositions. In July 2012, Riffertone won the first prize of the International Music Festival „Carpathia 2012” that was held in Rzeszów, and in August 2012, on special invitation of TVP Polonia, the duet was a special guest of the Open Doors event organized to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of TVP. (Polish Public Television). Riffertone was invited to be part of Tribute to Michael Jackson - Symfonic project, next to greatest Polish musicians.
