Cybophonia is the brainchild of Eros Minichiello, a musician and producer based in the Italian-speaking area of Switzerland. As well as creating soundtracks for films, TV, and radio, he has released records for the Italian label Irma Records: an album titled 'Cybophonia' (in 2000), a pair of 12" EPs ('Azona Pop' in 2001, 'Cut & Paste' in 2002) and several singles and remixes, one of which - the Black Mighty Orchestra's 'Ocean Beach' - has become a true anthem of the so-called Chillout genre. In 2007 Cybophonia released the EP 'Slide In' and in 2014 the album 'Spinning'. 2021 is the year of his return, with the singles 'Without Delay', 'Shine Out', and 'Tomorrow', followed by the album 'Bloom' (June 2021). The new tunes were born from a strong need to come back to the radically changed discographic landscape. Eros has always enjoyed experimenting with different forms of songwriting. That's why he started writing songs with an organic approach. He resurrected his voice and embraced his old acoustic and electric guitars, minimizing the digital input and cut-and-paste style that characterized all his previous projects. He moved away from the EDM genres, to revisit his youth passion for indie guitar pop, which had never really left him. In December 2022 the album was followed by 'Bloomed', a collection of remixes and bonus tracks.
