Drawing from influences such as Juan Luis Guerra and Kanye West, Dominican-Peruvian York artist Daniel Bazán, Jr. presents a retro-futuristic soundscape that distills traditional Latin rhythms from the Afro-diaspora into more contemporary genres such as hip-hop, R&B, and electronic music. His writing explores social dynamics from the perspective of a second-gen black Latino immigrant. To this date, Daniel's music has garnered more than 300k streams across platforms, playlisting opportunities from Soundcloud and VEVO, sync licenses from brands like Apple, Marvel Studios, and Mercedes-Benz, and attention from press outlets such as The New York Times, the New York Daily News, and TVPerú.
