Eme Alfonso is a Cuban singer and songwriter who mixes the sounds of her island with other genres of the world, achieving a unique sound in her style. She has a warm and vibrant voice at the same time, her musical heritage comes from "Sinntesis" emblematic band fusing Afro-Cuban music with rock and jazz, nominated for the Latin Grammy. She has won the "Best Fusion Album" award in Cuba with her three albums consecutively. She has shared the stage with artists such as: Esperanza Spalding, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Portuguese Philharmonic, Omara Portuondo and Chucho Valdés. Eme has performed at important events and festivals such as: Womex 2019, SXSW 2019, UNESCO's International Jazz Day 2017, Havana, Way Out West Festival, Goteborg (Sweden) 2016, Tulane University, New Orleans 2015.
