Carlos was born in the greater Seattle area of Washington state in the USA and taught himself piano at the age of 7. Soon after, he was introduced to wind instruments via his school band program, and eventually settled on tenor saxophone as his primary instrument. He graduated from the Berklee College of Music 2020, majoring in Contemporary Writing and Production, and also minored in Video Game Scoring. I’ve loved video game music ever since I was a kid. To me, video game music is special because it has potential to tell such profound stories in ways that other mediums can’t match. The immersiveness of a video game has so much potential to convey a great story to someone, and that story is enhanced by the game’s music. The fundamental purpose of music is to communicate - just like language, it’s a medium that we use to convey complex thoughts and ideas.
