LAURA CARBONE completed her successful debut US tour in March, 2019, taking her and her band from NY to California to SXSW in Texas promoting her critically acclaimed 2nd album, "Empty Sea". Drawing on prior appearances at SXSW and tours with shoegaze legends The Jesus & Mary Chain, NY indie heroes The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart and her own ecstatically received debut European headline tour, “Empty Sea” continues treading pop’s darker side, haunted by feedback and noise drowned in reverb. Laura chose the dystopian setting of a hard German winter in a small industrial town to start writing the album, and finished the writing process in the dreamy, sun-drenched haze of Los Angeles. The result is a musical atmosphere embracing darkness, friction and chaos, beautifully punctuated by bittersweet melodies and shining, sultry vocal performances.Prepare to be charmed and disarmed, battered and bruised, only to emerge from the depths of the “Empty Sea” reaching desperately for the “REPEAT” button.
