The Overthrone is a Swedish, Stockholm-based Melodic death metal band that has only begun its great journey. The Overthrone has released an EP, a full length album, toured through Europe and played at Wacken 2022. The Overthrone thrives to grow ever larger and to give something back to the beautiful world of metal through live shows and new music. Being inspired by the Swedish melodic death metal scene that has gained respect from all over the world due to revolutionary bands like In Flames, At the Gates, Arch Enemy etc, The Overthrone aspires to one day become a part of that list. The band has gotten incredible feedback for their first EP release “The Plague” and their full length album “Bloodmoon”. Songs from both of these releases were added to Spotify’s editorial playlists such as; New Blood and New Metal tracks, where they shared the space together with giants like Slipknot, Architects and Revocation. With their latest album “Bloodmoon” having been released, produced by Fredrik Nordström at Studio Fredman and receiving great feedback, The Overthrone is eager to show the world what more they have in store. With new songs in production accompanied by their new lead vocalist Gustav Holmberg, The Overthrone are ready to take the next step and show the world a new chapter of the band.
