Named after the mystical talisman in The Neverending Story, Auryn are a five-piece Spanish boy band best known for their association with the Eurovision Song Contest. The group formed in 2010 when teen pop vocalist Blas Canto, who was originally working on a solo album, decided to team up with Dani Fernandez (who had previously represented Spain at Junior Eurovision 2006), Carlos Marco, Alvaro Gango, and David Lafuente. A year later, they reached the final of Destino Eurovision, Spain's search to find their national entry for the European singing contest, where they lost out to Galician pop singer Lucía Pérez. Following the digital chart-topping success of lead single "Breathe in the Light," they supported the Wanted on the Madrid date of their European tour and released their bilingual debut album, Endless Road 7058, at the end of 2011. Two years later, they followed-up the success of their debut with Anti-Heroes, which topped the Spanish charts. Their subsequent third LP was also a chart-topper, both for the album Circus Avenue and its first single, "Puppeteer." Notably, this was the band's first completely-English language release. By 2015, they fully embraced the English language route, releasing Ghost Town, which featured pop diva Anastacia on "Who's Loving You?" ~ Jon O'Brien
