What is it about Winnipeg that breeds people with a taste for hard hitting, high energy rippers like these guys? You can tell One Of Us grew up listening to SoCal skate punk like Lagwagon, Bad Religion, Good Riddance and Strung Out - these songs definitely harken back to those days skateboarding in parking lots grinding on waxed curbs with a Discman in the backpack. Even while the music sounds familiar, these tracks manage to stay fresh and are guaranteed to pull your ear in and not let go. Being steeped in a scene featuring local juggernauts like Propagandhi and Comeback Kid has produced a group that blends fast, melodic riffs with neckwrecking rhythms and multiple vocal harmonies that are hard not to sing along to.
