Hailing from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Aisha Retno is a singer and songwriter with all the makings of a superstar on the rise. Exploding onto the scene in 2018 with her debut single Mengikat Jiwa, Aisha continues to surpass expectations all while nurturing her passion and further honing her craft. Aisha has since released several solo singles of her own – all boasting hundreds of thousands of streams – as well as earning song- and lyric writing credits for other local and regional musical artists such as Jaz, Kaka Azraff, Anuar Zain, and Aina Abdul. Aisha’s biggest break as an artist in her own right came with the release of her first English-language single “W.H.U.T (Wanna Hold U Tight) – which Aisha wrote and co-produced herself. Since its release in 2021, “W.H.U.T (Wanna Hold U Tight)” has amassed over 44 million streams globally and reached viral popularity on social media platform TikTok; further expanding Aisha’s listenership and fanbase across the region. In addition to her recording career, Aisha first found national recognition and acclaim upon competing in Malaysian reality singing competition TV3’s Vokal Mania in 2020, where she finished as the Juara Rookie. Her achievements have only accumulated since – Aisha then went on to compete on the 4th season of Big Stage (2021) where she finished in 3rd place. In 2022, Aisha made her acting debut as Zura in the Astro Citra telemovie Cangkul.
