Verhoog is a musician and producer born in Toronto, Canada. With steady self-production and DIY recording, he staunchly puts his heart on his sleeve with every song. His music is the result of a deep hunger for self-expression and a willingness to learn from mistakes. His early career successes include his first single “Forget Her”, standing at 1.2 million streams, and a co-written EP with noteworthy Toronto producer The Kount. With only word-of-mouth exposure and DIY creation, Verhoog is the epitome of homegrown. Songs like “Friends” and “Why Me” embody the lo-fi R&B that has catapulted Canadian artists like KAYTRANADA and River Tiber into international success.
