Sound Struggle was founded in December of 2012 at Berklee College of Music. They released their self titled debut album in June 28, 2014 and released their sophomore LP, “Rise”, September 25th of 2015. Their music is a new approach to progressive metal, that incorporates jazz fusion and funk influences, all while keeping it extra thicc, tasty and heavy. Their first two releases garnered lots of attention in the progressive metal community worldwide, and they continue to receive praise from many for bringing a fresh voice to an ever changing genre. Sound Struggle now is a solo project of founding member Cameron Rasmussen. The former original members in the band, Joey Izzo, Adam Rafowitz and Joe Calderone all now play in Arch Echo. The third release Sound Struggle features many of the same personnel that comprised the group in the past, with some guests and session players added in. However, the whole album... (music, lyrics, arranging, orchestration, engineering, mixing) was done by Rasmussen.
