Born and raised in southern California, spoken word poet Catie Trainor honed her craft in the underground slam poetry scene of Los Angeles before relocating to Nashville to pursue a career in music. Her unique sound and heartbreakingly-honest writing style create a bold new flair in both the contemporary spoken word and alternative/pop rock music scene. She has included familiar elements for all types of listeners to connect with, all while redefining genres and forging new territory. 
 Loving odes to her favorite writers and works of literature are woven into her lyrics, and her music captures the expansive, golden ambience of a sunset drive down the iconic Pacific Coast Highway. Covering topics ranging from sexual assault to mental health and addiction, her goal is to create a safe space for listeners to feel heard and seen, and to ultimately find healing and peace in the midst of the chaos that life tends to bring us. 
 No topic is off-limits, and all walks of life are welcomed and safe here.
