Nephew Sam is a versatile writer and recording artist from Rockford, IL. Heavily influenced by artists like Kid Cudi but has fundamental hip-hop roots as an artist who was born and raised in Syracuse, NY. In 2017, he released his first project an E.P titled, Sage Art: As Above So Below, a three-part project that displays his appreciation for conceptual work that had underlying expressions of introspection and bravado. Nephew Sam grew up writing his entire life so it only made sense for his love of writing and passion for music to collide. His diversity is displayed in his debut project which could be considered alternative, utilizing non-traditional beats, raping styles, and structure. Projects such as Sounds of Elixir, display his ability to make contemporary rap songs and shows his ability to talk the talk of a rapper. Alternative R&B projects such as Stay a Little Longer which showcases his ability to make softer and lighter music. Nephew Sam has over 530,000 streams including over 100,000 streams for his single, Back Then which was re-released in partnership with Che Pope’s label WRKSHP.
