Micky Medina is a rapper, songwriter, and producer from the island of Puerto Rico. In the year 2000 he started his journey into music with one purpose only, to shared real life experiences through his art. Traveling around the world to places like Honduras, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Peru and the United States, Micky Medina has presented his brand of reality music, no make-believe, or gimmicks just straight up powerful lyrics to challenge the Urban music scene. After multiple albums as part of different groups, in 2015 he finally released his first solo album titled Cronicas de un Subestimado (Chronicles of an Underdog) in which he rapped about his struggles with insecurities and depression. In 2016 came his follow up album Confesiones de un Hijo de Pastor (Confessions of a Pastor’s Son) in which he told different personal stories about his upbringing with both his parents as Pastors in a church. His third album Detras De La Sonrisa (Behind The Smile) gave an inside look into his struggles with mental health and how he was able to overcome them. The year 2021 brought out a new side to his artistry with a more commercial album named Nada Mas Y Nada Menos. Micky Medina is determined to make a change with his music; he says “I believe is time to bring lyrics back, we need music with a purpose, with a real message”.
