Désirée Mishoe, formerly known as May The Muse, is a US/German/Danish singer songwriter that grew up in the German/French speaking part of East Belgium. Despite being kicked out of a Choir when she was 12 years old for having too distinctive a voice, Désirée turned her back on a successful modelling career to find her way into the music Industry. She signed her first publishing deal with BMG in 2018 and began releasing music under the Pseudonym May The Muse. Celebrated for her ‘’intense creativity’’ (Clash) and her ‘’bewitching vocals’’ (The Line of Best Fit), she received an invitation for a much-praised A COLORS SHOW in early 2021. Désirée soon played Festivals such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, Melt! Festival, Reeperbahn Festival, supported Artists like The Avalanches, Ibeyi, Joep Beving. Her music has been used as a soundtrack for multiple Netflix Series such as Dark and Riverdale. 2023 sees Désirée enter a bold new phase of her career, ditching the alter ego and operating in her own name. Forthcoming releases are a departure from the sparse neo-soul genre and venture into rock, goth and country, produced by Justin Hawkins. Désirée’s emotionally raw songwriting and haunting vocals are guaranteed to delight and beguile audiences. Plus she’s hot as fuck. Like, off the charts hot.
