Arboretum is an alternative // progressive pop band centrally based out of Nashville, TN. Made up of childhood best friends originally from the small town of Zionsville, IN, the 3 piece formed towards the end of the group’s time in high school. They’ve continued the project into their college careers. Arboretum consists of Cooper Davenport (Lead Vocals, Keys, Tenor Sax, Guitar), Evan Emsley (Vocals, Lead Guitar, Bass), and Jack Schrepferman (Production, Guitar, Bass, Keys, Alto Sax, Drums / Programming). Following their debut self-titled LP, the trio has launched their second project’s rollout with "School Kids". The three make records in a collaborative process, with some common roles at certain points while undertaking more of a fluid approach to musical creation in others. On any given song, the three bounce back and forth between any instrument necessary for the recording operations in Schrepferman’s Nashville studio. This unconventional avenue of creation has led them to very concrete success, amassing over 150k streams on their debut album with solely the support of only local promotion. The band hopes to create music that scratches the itch of novelty to the listener, while holistically maintaining the comfort and digestibility required in pop music.
