In early 2020 Jesper, Jens Nicolai and Bjørn set for Gothenburg, Sweden, where Fredrik Nordström (In Flames, At the Gates, Dimmu Borgir) mixed and mastered the album at Fredman Studios. The result is "Access All Worlds". Seven songs driven by creative curiosity and artistic honesty. Access All Worlds is an epic; a cosmic and contemplative journey of energetic beauty and ferocity that reflects on human existence set in a storyline following daring space travelers. In 2022 – while working on their second album – IOTUNN decided to finish the song Mistland. They went to Fascination Street Studios in February 2023 and got the song mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren (Amon Amarth, Paradise Lost, Kreator, Enslaved). About the song, singer Jón Aldará tells: “The theme of the song revolves around risking relationships to break free of the old ways and embrace new ideas and "progress", for better or worse. This feeds into the general story and concept of the upcoming album, which deals with ancient peoples becoming aware of a ritual that can release them from their earthly form and allow them to seek new astral and spiritual horizons.” The artwork and video for Mistland is created by acclaimed artist Costin Chioreanu. Mistland is released June 30th with the song and video premiering on Metal Injection June 29th at 1800 CET. Mistland defines the beginning of the new chapter of IOTUNN´s career which will result in their second album aimed to be released during 2024.
