THE 80’s ARE BACK Have you heard the story about the ”gang from the past” who decided to give their friend a memorable 50th birthday present? The moment they stepped out on the scene of that party, also started a highly unexpected journey. Today the concept 1984 is synonymous with nostalgia, joy and inspiring music for 80s-loving pop fans in Sweden and all over the world... The gift, i.e. the song 1984 (I rock och stövlar och stylat hår), was released digitally in May 2019 and quickly became a popular feature at that summer’s barbecues and with radio channels like Swedish P4, HitCity and British Club 80s. The original and an English version called 1984 (In Stylish Hair, We Were Sharp Dressed Men) were released on an all-white vinyl single - an edition that quickly sold out and today is kind of a collector’s item. In September the same year, the band made a short guest appearance during the Italo Disco festival BeatboxGbg in Gothenburg Sweden. 
 After 2020 it became pretty quiet from 1984. No one really knew if the band still existed, hardly even the members themselves. Until spring 2021, when things started to happen behind the scenes. The band presented a number of ideas to the record company and everyone agreed that the time was right for 1984 to recapture the airwaves, lists and scenes. That’s where we are today.
