TY1, previously known as Tayone, is recognized as the top DJ of the Italian Hip Hop scene. Since his debut in 1992 his innovative approach to dance/hip hop music, with a special focus on scratch art, has won him numerous accolades such as his victory in the 1°edition of the ITF in 1997. After many successful years of being DJ and producer mastermind behind the main Italian Hip Hop artists, TY1 has kicked off a new artistic cycle. His album “Hardship” has been released worldwide on May 27th 2016 by Universal Music Italia. From 2017 to 2018 TY1 released several singles and remixes, with italian and international artists, including Clementino, IZI, Smooties & Richie Loop, Marracash, Walshy Fire of Major Lazer, MHE, Capo Plaza and Calcutta. In 2019 TY1 produced 2 songs for Marracash's new album "Persona" (Universal Music Italia): "QUELLI CHE NON PENSANO - Il cervello (feat. Coez)" and "NON SONO MARRA - La pelle (feat. Mahmood)". In november 2019 TY1 released "C'est La Vie" feat. Capo Plaza and Dosseh, certified gold, and on January the 3rd 2020 he dropped his last single "Sciacalli" feat. Noyz Narcos and Speranza. His last singles “Aggio Perzo ‘o Suonno” feat. Coez and Neffa and “Fantasmi” feat. Geolier and Marracash, both certified gold, anticipated his last album “DJUNGLE” (Thaurus/Believe) released may 8th 2021. On Dec. 16 2022, TY1 released "DJUNGLE UNCHAINED" the extended version of the previous work, which contains 7 new songs and inedited collaborations.
