During more than a decade living in Latin America, artist and producer Max Dubster aka CaliMax, originally a native of Los Angeles, California, has been part of several different musical projects involving bilingual hip hop in various forms. In Ecuador, he was nominated for an MTV Latin Video Music award, and has racked up over 5 million streams for the album Ecuafornia. In 2020, he released A Way, a heartfelt reaction to racism in the US, police brutality, and abuses of power.
