Marko Stat$ is a Hip-Hop vocalist, songwriter, Co-Owner of “We Create Records” and Chicago native raised and well-respected in the Uptown neighborhood. His unique approach to music provides a fresh innovative style to the forever growing landscape of Chicago Hip-Hop. Growing up surrounded by gang activity and drug abuse, Marko is no stranger to hardship. At the age of 3 his mother passed away leaving him traumatized. Constant battles with anxiety and stuttering disorder wasn’t enough to stop him from embarking on his musical journey. Being born to immigrant parents and raised in Section 8 housing has given Marko an inner city perspective combined with a worldwide vision. He shares the stories of the common African American man looking to find himself in a corrupted world. “No matter what race, gender, class, or background, everybody has been doubted at some point of their lives. Marko Stat$ gives the perspective of the underdog looking to prove his abilities in the midst of all of the obstacles thrown his way”
