The collective of HUNTED LIKE THIEVES out of Zürich, Switzerland, first got together in 2013. Whilst having their background mainly in the Hardcore and Punk scene, the band managed to carve out its very own musical blend, consisting of raw energy, sheer emotions and lyrics which have a personal as well as a social-critical approach. After the debut album “Echoes” (2015) and the EP “Control” (2017), HUNTED LIKE THIEVES return with their second full-length entitled “On The Edge of Giving In” in summer 2021. On this record, the band is raising their mixture of fierce and dramatic melodies, heavyness and intense emotions to another level. This is reflected in the highly personal lyrics, which deal with topics such as overcoming the repeating, tormenting thought of self-doubt (On Repeat), the failure to reach one’s own expecations (Reality Check) or the feeling of sheer emotional exhaustion (Fatigue). However, HUNTED LIKE THIEVES also don’t shy away from critically addressing social and political issues, taking a clear stand for an inclusive society in which all human and other sentient beings are free to live their life to the fullest (Incendiary, Through Your Eyes). The songs are thriving from passion and intensity and – despite the rather somber undertone – are an encouragement to not give in and move on, even in the darkest hours.
