Biyografi

Deniz Taşar is an Istanbul based singer, songwriter and a multidisciplinary artist, focusing mainly on contemporary jazz with genre bending musical approach. 
 After her wins at three major young jazz vocal competitions and many performances in jazz clubs and festivals, she released her well received debut album Uykuda Bir Bulut and her bass-vocal duo project Songs From A Breeze’s Chapter One in 2016 through Lin Records. She released Onu Ona Ona Onu, a manifestation of her musical and visual aesthetic with an accompanying short film with art direction by her and Uzaktan with a music video directed by Taşar herself. The artist founded the record label SOLAS Records where she released songs like The Unfold which she wrote and sang for the first Turkish original Netflix film and many more including I'm the Sky, I'm the Earth, Jump out the Loop and TJM in collaboration with varying renowned artists from different musical backgrounds. 
 She released her second solo album Pişman Olunmayan Dünler where she expands her sound to include pop, rock, hip hop and electronic elements whilst also building a visual world for her music. 
 She was featured in Akbank Jazz Festival's album as the youngest composer to write and perform her song A Thank You Card for this 30th year archival collection, celebrating jazz in Turkey. She just released new collabs Reunite and Burn through ES Müzik that are featured in an original Disney+ series. Follow #denizmirildanirken for all her tunes.
