‘LOLA takes a genre that is associated with the echoey nostalgia of a lost era and unapologetically plunges rock ‘n roll into the present.’ – Happy Mag Combining energetic, feel-good music with a dedicated, old school work ethic, LOLA are turning heads and starting mosh pits all over Australia. The Adelaide-based band finds mates Billy Burns (lead vocals, guitar), Sebastian Reyes-Hewett (lead guitar), Maxwell Bowen (bass) and Mitchell Seager on drums. Described as a ‘refreshing taste of punk’, LOLA’s DIY punk attitude is not going unnoticed - releasing their highly anticipated debut EP and travelling the country with the likes of Bodyjar and Chasing Ghosts. After sharing the stage with icons such as Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Cosmic Psychos, Thirsty Merc, Mean Jeans (USA), The Southern River Band and LOSER, LOLA are rapidly gaining the attention of punters and growing a dedicated fanbase with every gig. In 2022, the band were nominated for a whopping four categories at the South Australian Music Awards: Best New Artist, Best Music Video, Best Release and People’s Choice Punk. Taking home Best New Artist further cemented LOLA as heavy weights in the scene and with the release of new single ‘Billionaire’ the outfit are showing no signs of slowing down.
