KRANKk blows a new wind through the electronic music world. This Belgian trio immerses you in a crazy twist of electronics and live instrumentation. Keyboardist Aram Abgaryan, drummer Thomas Geysen and guitarist Willem Heylen studied at the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp, where they found each other through their love of electronic music. The trio grew up with Jungle, Drum and bass, Dubstep and UK Garage. As students of the conservatory, the trio KRANKk has a lot of feeling for their instruments. Sounds - and the way they are produced - are very important. A simple push of a button to produce a digital sound is not enough. "Real" sounds and acoustic elements are always important. They make futuristic music and stand for the sound of today. But this is a sound that has great respect for what came before: the classics of Burial or Kode9 + the spaceape shine through here. Fans of say Massive Attack, The Bug will also enjoy this.
