Resplandor based in the Netherlands is the opening act for The Cure alongside The Twilight Sad and Just Mustard on November 22, 2023 at the National Stadium in Lima, PE 'Tristeza' -their new album- is produced and mixed by Robin Guthrie, founder and composer of the legendary band Cocteau Twins, who also produced and mixed their previous album ‘Pleamar’ and has been mastered by Simon Scott of Slowdive. Their album "Pleamar" has just been reissued in a deluxe edition for its 15th anniversary. The band recorded 'Tristeza' in Amsterdam and the album was presented at the Grauzone Festival in The Hague, they are currently embarking on a European tour. During 2019 the band toured several European countries playing in the Netherlands, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Belgium. In 2018, the band performed different gigs, being part of the VMF Festival playing with MGMT, Warpaint, among others. On May 18, 2017, after a four-year hiatus, the band returned to the stage, playing with Slowdive in Lima. In the fall of that year, Resplandor played in Madrid, Paris, and Berlin as part of the Berlin Shoegazer Festival. In 2013, Resplandor was the opening act for The Cure at their show in Lima. Resplandor has opened shows for The Jesus & Mary Chain, The Cure, Slowdive, The House Of Love, The Ocean Blue, Ulrich Schnauss, The Radio Dept. among others. They have also toured Europe, South America and North America.
