Akanksha Sethi is a Mumbai-based playback singer, songwriter, composer and content creator. A lyric-first songwriter, her music largely draws its inspiration from her state of mind at any given point. She is trained in Hindustani Classical which allows her to pay attention to detail. Her recent single ‘Raaz Tera Mera’ stands at 2.7 million streams, and counting, that made her the face of India’s biggest Spotify playlist, Indie India. She recently came out with her Bollywood playback debut, Mann Mein Halchal for Madhur Bhandarkar’s film Babli Bouncer, starring Tamanna Bhatia. She has also sung for Cinema Marte Dum Tak, Please Find Attached S3, Zakir Khan’s Farzi Mushaira, all streaming on Amazon Prime and Mini TV. Her previous originals, Thoda sa Theher (2020) and Winter (2021) were termed as ‘blissful and optimistic’ and ‘high on drama’, respectively, by notable magazines such as The Rolling Stone, High on Score, Rock Street Journal, etc. Her 2020 single Thoda sa Theher stands at 2 lakh+ streams on Spotify, still running strong. She has an incredibly dedicated audience of over 1 lakh on Instagram and became a viral reel sensation with her covers of ‘Aaoge Jab Tum’ and ‘Yun Hi’.
