Weather Maps is a band formed in 2010 in Denver, CO by Jimmy Stofer. Currently Weather Maps is based out of Los Angeles. The band's frequent collaborators include Luke Mossman, Tyler Despres, Nate Barnes, Carl Sorensen, Andy Thompson, Greg Schutte, Josh Kaplan, Matt Vannelli, Alex Young, and others. Their first album 'Places' (2010) was recorded in Denver, CO in Jimmy Stofer's apartment. Their second album 'Painted Striped' (2014) was recorded partially in an Airbnb in Duluth, MN, and also with Brett Bullion at his studio in Minneapolis, MN. The album was then mixed by Brett Bullion, and mastered by Huntley Miller.Songs of Weather Maps have been featured in such shows as 'Revenge' (ABC), 'The Lizzie Borden Chronicles' (Lifetime), and films such as 'Breach,' 'Drunk Bus,' and 'Never Say Can't: The Bruce Cook Story,'
