Willow Stephens is making groovy, introspective R&B in Los Angeles, CA. The Montana native is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. She has been creating her own brand of funky, ethereal pop /R&B one carefully crafted song at a time. Spend any time with Willow’s music and you will be feeling the feels and grooving to the beat. Her most recent single SHINE appeared on Hulu’s Everything’s Trash and is the first from her forthcoming album “Best of Me” (expected spring 2023). Stephens got her start writing hooks for hip-hop artists. She made the move to LA in 2015 and signed a recording contract with Andy Mineo’s grassroots label, Miner League Co. Her debut EP (from the team behind Splice’s SoulSurplus) is both nostalgic and future-facing all in one stroke and spans influences from doo-wop to hip-hop. In 2018 Stephens returned to her indie roots and began work on her first full length album. The lead single "Gold" premiered on BuzzBands LA and was dubbed sultry casino pop. Her debut LP “All That Glitters” is the product of a 2018 goal to write 100 songs in a year. She celebrated its release with DIY tour up the west coast and a near sold out show at Doug Westin’s Troubadour in Jan 2020. Her emotional, profound songwriting shines on her pandemic project, A GOOD CRY. This thematic EP traverses the themes of grief and loss with lyrical excellence and grace. The first track “Good Man” was a finalist in American Songwriter Magazine’s 2020 songwriting contest.
