Finland’s latest heavy metal sensation VANSIDIAN is unleashed into the world. Founded in 2017 by guitarist Matti Meri-Huhti (ex-Frosttide) and bassist Jyri Niinikoski, the group is subsequently joined by lifelong friends drummer Joona Törmä and guitarist Kustaa Tuori. They officially embarked on their musical journey when vocalist Juha Tretjakov (Avenie, Mockshot) joined their ranks, marking the tightening of the group’s sound and complexion. VANSIDIAN manages to craft their own sonic fingerprint by fusing their retro video game-inspired melodies with galloping death metal riffs, melodic hooks and richly combinative vocals, while simultaneously maintaining an old-school heavy metal orientation. Daring to experiment, the band stands out for following the least traditional path of metal bands nowadays, combining an impressive variety of influences, thus delivering a sound that covers the whole spectrum of heavy metal subgenres. Their ambitiously self-financed debut single “Stormweaver” serves as the epitome of their innovative attitude, promising to excite audiences. Debut album "Reflecting the Shadows" will be released on 19th of May.
