Cashmo is a german rapper and music producer. Since 2017 he runs his own music label called "Rapper aus Prinzip Musik" Cashmo grew up in Stolberg and due to familiar problems he became criminal in very young years. At the age of 15 he was imprisoned for 3 years. In prison he listened to german rap music for the first time in his life. Before he had only listened to american rap. You can get a detailed view of his life by watching his documentary "1994 - Ein Leben zwischen Heim, Knast und Musik" Cashmo is influenced by american rappers like: Dr. Dre, 2Pac, Nate Dogg and many more. He combines german lyrics with self composed american Westcoast beats. That´s why his fans call him the "German Nate Dogg" or the "German Dr. Dre" Listening to Cashmos music is like a timetravel straight to the Westcoast in the 90s. Although his music has its roots in the 90s it sounds modern and fresh. Cashmo has worked together with many well known german musicians, such as: Eko Fresh, Bushido, Kay One, RAF Camora, Twin, Manuellsen and many many more. After cooperation with various labels, he started releasing his music on his own. His legendary album "1994" charted on rank 51. Besides producing his own beats, Cashmo produces his videoclips on his own. He has his own recording studio for mixing and mastering. The "One man army" Cashmo is completely independent.
