Precious Child is a LA musician and trans activist who has been creating genre-defying music since 2013 that explores themes of identity, sexuality, violence, and liberation. She defies easy categorization, weaving together elements of darkwave, experimental pop, and industrial music to create a tapestry that is at once haunting and seductive. Her latest EP, We Will Die Together, released in November 2022, is a story of possession, consumption, control, fulfillment, ecstasy, and despair. Before that, she released Ring of Circles in September 2022, a single that combines heavy metal riffs and electronic beats with ethereal chiptuned vocals. July 2022, she released V I O L E N C E. The track “I Kneel with My Knees on the Knife” is dedicated to the Anarchists and antifascists that showed up for her and trans rights at Wi Spa. In February 2022, she put out the full length album AR-15s for Transgender Teens, an album that examines individual and societal intimacy. She also released a music video for “Tear Up” that triumphantly parodies the Wi Spa controversy which Fox News targeted her over. Lyrically, Precious Child explores themes of identity, self-discovery, and the complexities of the human experience. The band's live shows often featuring elaborate costumes, surreal projections, and mesmerizing choreography. This approach has earned them a dedicated fan base and critical acclaim from journalists, who laud the band for pushing boundaries and challenging conventions.
