Sebastião Antunes mentor, composer, lyricist and interpreter of the band Quadrilha. The Quadrilha is a Portuguese band of folk music, whose style results from the fusion of elements of traditional Portuguese music and Celtic music. The band was founded in 1991 by Sebastião Antunes. The objective of Sebastião Antunes, mentor of what were once the Peace Makers and which, since 1991, has given rise to the Quadrilha group, is to make a fusion between forms of the Portuguese tradition and a certain Celtic sound. On the other hand, it has a concern - to bring popular music to the younger age brackets. According to him, it is very important that young people identify with their music and, above all, that they feel that it belongs to them. The song of the Quadrilha is based on simple forms, as simple as the motifs of their songs. The descriptive mode expressed in its letters refers each verse to a part of the story that is to be told / sung. In some cases, as someone already mentioned, it even reminds us of the style of the Portuguese writer Miguel Torga.
