THE KILLINGTONS are an alternative rock band from Long Beach, CA. They began as a power-pop/emo-rock trio in 1995 with James Killington singing and playing guitar he became the driving force of the band’s creative output and remains the only static member. The group’s main line up was comprised of James Killington/guitar/vocals, Chris Muench/bass, Michel Bravine/drums, and Mitch Townsend/guitar, [along with Dan Hennessy/drums and Brian DeRose/guitar as early collaborators and influencers]. The legacy years of the band spanned the decade of 1995-2005. Following the dissolution of the group in 2005, an era had ended and the members moved on to pursue other projects and creative collaborations. James Killington and Brian DeRose in what’s now a decades long collaboration finished writing and recording new material in 2019 with [Shannon Madison/bass and Jon Sacks/drums]. The three tracks they recorded are featured on EP Volume 1 (released in September 2020). In January of 2023 the band started rehearsing with original member and bass player Chris Muench for a so-cal mini-tour that starts in March.
