Hey, Glad you found your way here 💞 I'm a pretty emotional person and these songs I put out help me navigate through them. Hopefully they can do the same for you. /Maydar Alexandra Shanahan, aka Maydar, is a Stockholm-based artist, songwriter and producer with Italian, Irish and Swedish roots. In the past years we’ve both seen and heard of Maydar, with previous singles sweet talk and TAXI founding their well-deserved playlist adds on Swedish National Radio P3 and P5, with 'TAXI' also highlighted as one of the best songs from 2018 by P3. An international spotlight arose by the time, and Maydar got her first plays by BBC1 Xtra's Jamz Supernova which lead to some valuable sessions in London. Maydar’s sad R&B has been praised by Swedish media such as Nöjesguiden, Popmani & Dagens Nyheter. Maydar’s first single in Swedish, ’Två steg framåt (aldrig tillbaka)’ was praised by Aftonbladet who wrote "promising r'n'b in Swedish, the saddest in its cut since Cherries debut”. Maydar has toured in Sweden and across Europe with previous collaboratives, she’s made herself a name on Stockholm’s DJ scene and has arranged clubs and events throughout the years. Her new EP ’Gav allt och det får räcka’ is released on April 22nd via [PIAS] Nordic.
