Now she’s ready for the next chapter in her career, turning a long-desired dream into reality. Ivana Santacruz is set to kickstart her career as a vocalist. It’s really just a logical conclusion, considering that music has always been a great passion of the 24-year-old. When she was a child, her mother used to take her along to family celebrations and weddings, where reggaeton would be played. Right in the middle of it all - Ivana, dancing away and realizing that Latin American music is right up her alley. During her teenage years, she first discovers Jamaican dancehall, then afro-beats. Music that makes her dance. It’s the beginning of an unparalleled career. But there’s more. Ivana posted a picture of her younger self to Instagram: It shows her kneeling in front of a stereo and holding a microphone. The photograph was taken during her early childhood in Mexico. Because little Ivana loves music so much, her stepfather ends up buying her a microphone at the flea market, and so she begins to not just move along to music, but also to sing.
