Proto Tip is a rock band from Belgrade, Serbia. Nikola Čučković, guitarist and vocalist, founded the band in 2015. and is now joined by Danilo Ilić (drums), Damjan Nedelkov (guitar) and Pavle Dimitrijević (bass, vocals). Debut EP "Strah od izvesnog" was released in 2017. for the legendary Croatian publisher "Slušaj najglasnije" in cooperation with producer Ivan Petrović. As one of the bands from the Hali Gali collective, they were present at the compilation from 2019. with the track "Pad" and also played numerous gigs throughout Serbia and the region, both independently and as part of the Hali Gali movement. They started cooperating with the collective Pop Depresija-Kišobran in 2020. and after three singles - "kako ovde", "krećem se" and "duša u šaci" (the last one was in the final selection for the Zadužbina Milan Mladenović award for the 2022) their debut album was released on February 23rd 2023. Their music is powerful, melancholic, hypnotic and passionate and Nikola's lyrics explore themes of loss, death and existentialism, as well as empathy, faith and optimism.
